A Mission Statement of President Eyring:

I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The dye has been cast out. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won’t look back, let up, slowdown, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I’m finished and done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly taking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals. I no longer need pre-eminence, positions, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on his presence, walk with patience, am lifted by prayer, and labor with power.

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven. My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder in the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, and paid up the cause of Christ. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach to all I know, and work till he stops me. And when he returns for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My banner will be clear.

I Love this mission statement! It is so powerful! I strive to be like this everyday! The gospel is so important to me and I want EVERYONE to know that!

L-TOWN

Life in Logan is great! Even though I grew up with weather like this I am still adjusting from St. George weather. Man is St George spoiled. Yesterday it was a beautiful day, well the first half. Like no coat or jacket beautiful, but then around like five it turned into a blizzard! And I mean BLIZZARD! However Logan is beautiful! I am really starting to love the valley, especially right after it snows.

School is going great! I am LOVING my classes. I am so glad I decided to change majors, I mean nursing is great, but I just love everything about community health. It fits me so much better than nursing did. Plus I will have a lot more options of what I can do when I finish!

I love going to sporting events up here at USU! The basketball games are a blast! USU has an amazing student section, its like half of the stadium, and always jam packed! I also went to my first hockey game up here. I have never really been a fan of hockey, but man it was so fun! Of course my favorite part was the fighting! I love it when they rip off there gloves and helmets and start throwing fists.

Outdoor Ice Skating!

At my first hockey game! LOVED it!

Also my birthday was on the 6th of this month! I had a wonderful birthday! Lots of celebrating! I am 21 years old I cannot believe it! I feel like I am getting so old! On Thursday my roommates made me a Birthday Cake, white, with white frosting, my favorite! They are so sweet! Then on Saturday my mom took me to Bella's for lunch followed by a little shopping. I got new running shoes, the cutest little purse ever and two rings! :) Then later that night I had a little get together with some friends. We went to Fire House Pizza to eat and then came back to my apartment and played games and such! On Sunday, my actual birthday, I had dinner with my family! Tomas and Jayci as well as Cody and Jess came out to my parents house and we celebrated as well as watched the Super Bowl! Kenz and Aron were on the mountain so they weren't able to make it, they were greatly missed though! Then on Tuesday Jess and I combined out birthdays. She came up to Logan and we did a little shopping and then went to Chili's for lunch! It was a great birthday and I am so grateful that I have so many friends and family to celebrate with!

Travel

I have been just aching to travel somewhere, anywhere! Especially to Europe! I don't know why it is just that I love exploring new places. I wish I had all the money in the world and I could get on a plane tomorrow and go to Italy, Germany, or Denmark and spend a week there. Walking around the cobble stone streets taking in all of the greenness, old architecture, and the people, who enjoy life more than we seem to enjoy it here in the states. I am so grateful for my trip to Europe, Egypt, and Jordan. Especially with everything that is going on in Egypt, I would definitely not want to be there right now. I am determined to go back to Europe someday and hopefully sooner rather than later. For now I will just relive my experience through pictures.

Anyone who knows me at all knows that
this is my all time favorite Statue.
I just love David! :)
(Sorry for the indecent exposure)

Pyramids in Egypt!

Germany!
Not the best picture, but it is so GREEN!
Love It!

Why can't our sidewalks and roads be like this?

I will do a post about life up here in L-town soon. It's most likely going to be a long post and I don't know that much time today.
